Maqadi is in beta. This guide describes how the app works for beta stores; details may still change before launch.
Frequencies and discounts
Each plan has a list of frequencies the customer can choose from, and a discount for subscribers.
Frequencies
| Option | Good for |
|---|---|
| Every week | Water, fresh food, products used every day. |
| Every 2 weeks | Coffee for heavy drinkers, food for larger pets. |
| Every month | Coffee, dates, supplements, care products. |
| Every 2 or 3 months | Larger packs, refills, slower-moving items. |
Offer two or three frequencies per plan. Too many choices slow customers down.
Discount
- A percentage off the normal price, applied to every order of the subscription.
- The discount is shown on the product page before the customer subscribes.
- A coupon used at the first checkout also lowers the price of later orders, because the subscription is created at the price paid. Keep this in mind when you run a one-time coupon.
Changing a plan later
Changes to a plan (a new frequency, a different discount) apply to new subscribers. Existing subscriptions keep the price and frequency they started with, because on Salla these are fixed when the subscription is created.
When a customer changes the frequency, swaps the product or changes the quantity in the customer portal, Maqadi replaces their subscription with a new one, so the change applies from the next order. The customer doesn't need to do anything else.
