Maqadi is in beta. This guide describes how the app works for beta stores; details may still change before launch.
Reminders and messages
Customers hear from Maqadi a few times around each order, so the next charge or delivery is never a surprise.
The messages
| Message | When | Contains |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome | Right after subscribing | What was ordered, how often, the next date, and the link to the customer portal. |
| Reminder | 3 days before each order (you can change this) | The date, the amount, and a link to skip, pause or change. |
| Payment link | Before each order, for customers who pay by link | The amount and the link to pay in your checkout. |
| Payment failed | After a failed charge | What happened and how to update the card or pay by link. |
| Change confirmed | After a pause, skip, swap or cancellation | What changed and the next date, if any. |
Language
Every message has an Arabic and an English version. Customers get the language they used in your store.
Editing the texts
- Open Settings → Messages in Maqadi.
- Choose a message and a language.
- Edit the text. Fields in braces, such as
{next_date}or{portal_link}, are filled in automatically; keep them. - Send a test message to yourself, then save.
Channels
Messages are sent by email. WhatsApp needs a messaging provider; it will be offered as an option, and the provider named on the app privacy page, before it is switched on. Every message sent is listed in the dashboard's message log.
